V Autolume (Lamac) mi poradili, ze vraj mozem liat do mojho 2T skutra (Gilera 125) aj 4T olej. Ten by sa mi oplatil, lebo by som mohla zdielat 4l olej, ktory zivi motorku, a lebo kupujem lepsie oleje ako 2T do kosaciek. Tvrdili mi, ze 4T je rovnako dobry.

Co vsak citam na nete, je tam rozdiel v tom ako sa tie oleje spaluju a naopak, ze maju uplne ine specifikacie, kvoli sposobu akym sa ten olej pouziva.

I have 3 questions: 1. Why do we need to use 2T oil in a two stroke engine? 2. What will happen if we use 4T oil instead of 2T oil? 3. How does 2T oil lubricate the engine (Before or after burning)?


A. Dear Mr. Kumar, 2-stroke oil has a very short working life, straight in and out, and it gets burnt. The 2-stroke engine doesn’t have a sump full of oil and the bearings are all rollers, so there’s hardly any oil drag, hence no need for multigrades. Long term stability is obviously not a problem! But, 2-stroke must burn off without leaving any plug-fouling or detonation-initiating deposits. The detergent and anti-wear additives used in 4-stroke oil leave hard white ash behind when they burn, just what you do not need in a 2-stroke. So 2-stroke oils use low-ash detergents and dispersants, and the better types use ester synthetics to act as anti-wear compounds. With current environmental concerns, smoke is a sensitive issue, so most ‘road’ 2-stroke oils are now low smoke, which requires yet another type of synthetic base designed to burn off invisibly. For some rather basic but very high-revving air-cooled racing 2-strokes there’s still some sense in using blends with that marvellous anti-seize liquid, castor oil!Due to crankcase induction and compression, the classical 2-stroke obviously cannot have an oil-filled sump, so the only way to keep an oil film on anything was to add oil to the fuel, or inject oil into the crankcase space where it could mix with the fuel vapour. There are now some engines where the fuel and oil are injected separately, but the oil is still burnt. Hope this answers your question.

to co si nasla je v podstate pravda, cela pravda a nic nez pravda.

4T olej obsahuje afaik nepenive prisady, aby sa dal pouzit do motora aj do prevodovky naraz (mermo moci mi ludia tvrdili, ze obycajny 10W-40 by sa v prevodovke spenil a motor by nemazal, osobne som to neskusal). 2T olej zasa ako je napisane je naaditivovany tak, aby zhorel pri vyrobeni co najmenej karbonu. taky prastary M2T toto moc neriesi, takze jeho spalenim sa ti spalovak aj vyfuky zaseru karbonom a potom to moc netahne. spalovak aj vyfuky treba demontovat a dekarbonizovat. samozrejme ten olej aj huli ako svina. trocha modernejsie 2T oleje nehulia a nekarbonuju, pretoze casti oleja sa bud nespalia (tym si zas nie som isty), alebo horia bez depozitov. pre ilustraciu vyfuk asi nikdy nedekarbonizovany a 50 rokov prevadzkovany na M2T vazil po demontazi 2,5x viac ako novy cisty vyfuk.

edit: este je celkom mozne, ze 4T olej by ti ani moc nechcel horet a motorka by tahala bud napicu, alebo vobec. pri jednej prilezitosti som skusal, ako vyjazdeny 4T olej hori a bolo to teda nic moc. prskalo to a dusilo to plamen. bezny vyjazdeny olej z auta hori jedna basen oproti tomu.

ad oleje do kosaciek. ony su sice dobre, ale maju problem udajne v tom, ze su environmentally friendly a po nariedeni sa nejako celkom rychlo rozkladaju a degraduju, takze na pouzitie v skutri bez oilmastera nie su to prave orechove. inac by to asi malo byt jedno. olej tam lej podla specifikacie vyrobcu, v tvojom pripade asi API TC+. zvlast pri stroji s oilmasterom musi byt jeho spotreba relativne nizka, tak neviem, ci by som to nejako zasadne riesil.
