An extension of the current web in which information is given well-defined meaning, better enabling computers and people to work in cooperation. The Semantic Web is the abstract representation of data on the World Wide Web, based on the RDF and OWL standards and other standards to be defined.

Some say Semantic Web will be bigger than WWW. Some consider it to be the next generation of the Web. So what is all the hoopla about? What is Semantic Web? What is Semantics? mali by ste niekto tip na unsupervised cross language keyword extractor (alebo aj iny, ak by bol stavany na slovencinu)? Pripadne mi vedel pomoct?

Pri hladani som narazila na rozne aloritmy (TexRank, LexRank, DegRank, ...) ktore vsak sama neviem ako spracovat a preto by som radsej uz hotovy tool (jedine co som nasla je online MAUI). Pripadne plugin do pythonu by som nejak zvladla.
napriklad genism vyzera celkom userfriendly, ale neviem, ci je to to, co hladam.

Na tejto stranke je ich viacej, ale vacsina je na anglictinu.

clanky na wikipedii obsahuju relativne dobre strukturovany a suvisly anglicky text, su dobre prelinkovane, nie je tam vela balastu atd atd.
ako by tento pristup fungoval trebars na stranke kde polovica obsahu su textove reklamy, druha polovica odkazy na ine podstranky a samotny obsah tvoria tri vety v strede je to co ma zaujima :). tu by pomohlo keby sa rozsirilo aspon aRDF, ale, hm, snivajte s nami.

Net communities may be key to future of politics

Business Web sites that foster an aura of community trust may hold the key to the future of online politics.

A panel of Internet gurus gathered Friday at the fifth annual Votes, Bits & Bytes conference here, held by the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School to discuss the impact of Internet business models on online politics.

The panelists said the most valuable lesson online campaigners may be able to garner from Web-based companies is that building a sense of trust remains at the center of winning loyalty from customers or political followers.

Among the panelists were Web luminaries including Esther Dyson, the former head of Web governance body the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, and Craig Newmark, the founder of classifieds and community site Craigslist. Dyson currently serves as editor at large for CNET Networks, publisher of News.com. Newmark works in customer service at Craigslist.

"The golden rule is really how people want us to operate," Newmark said. "They want business sites and political sites to adhere to our shared values of being fair with one another and treating each other with respect."
