SOCIAL SCIENCE PERSPECTIVES

Organised by King's College London, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi (Centre for Social Medicine and Community Health) and LSE Health, with financial support from the Economic and Social Research Council.

The symposium will bring together scholars and researchers across a range of social science disciplines, and users of such research, who are interested in the challenges faced in researching globalisation, health systems and health economies. It aims to identify recent advances in concepts and innovations in research approaches.

Session themes include:

* Globalisation and health research: the case of India
* Globalisation and the governance of new health technologies
* Understanding influences on access to medicines in a globalised market
* Problematising global policy formulation and analysis
* Transnational healthcare providers, markets and users
