Fully funded PhD scholarships at the Centre for European Studies
Research, University of Portsmouth

The Centre for European Studies Research at the University of
Portsmouth in the UK is advertising a number of full bursaries (fees
covered, maintenance grant). We welcome especially applications in the
field of contemporary history and politics of Europe and the European
Union history broadly defined. Applicants (EU citizens) with projects
on transnational dimensions (actors, networks, Europeanization etc.)
are esp. strongly encouraged to apply. For further particulars see

deadline is 26 February for a starting date of 1 October 2010. The
bursary includes a teaching obligation which is normally much more
limited than the advertisement would suggest, and geared towards
facilitating teaching experience to qualify for the academic job
