dakujem.

Ludom chyba pravidelny prisun veci, ktore by ich posuvali.

Speaking at LIFT 2007, Sugata Mitra talks about his Hole in the Wall project. Young kids in this project figured out how to use a PC on their own -- and then taught other kids. He asks, what else can children teach themselves?

  http://www.ted.com/talks/sugata_mitra_shows_how_kids_teach_themselves.html

genialny priklad toho, ze deti nepotrebuju ucitelov, a naucia sa vsetko aj same, ak najdu nieco co ich zaujima, a maju inspiraciu sa dozvedat nove (just what i do, cele dni nasavam informacie a rozmyslam, etc, lebo ma to bavi - pocas skoly som sa musel prekonavat, nechcelo sa mi.. cim to asi tak moze byt..)

bez ucitelov, bez anglictiny, bez manualov, bez ucebnic, bez vsetkeho..

(a raz to tak bude aj na slovensku, i'm working on it, why dont YOU help somehow?)

Temple Grandin, diagnosed with autism as a child, talks about how her mind works -- sharing her ability to "think in pictures," which helps her solve problems that neurotypical brains might miss. She makes the case that the world needs people on the autism spectrum: visual thinkers, pattern thinkers, verbal thinkers, and all kinds of smart geeky kids.

  http://www.ted.com/talks/temple_grandin_the_world_needs_all_kinds_of_minds.html

Temple Grandin:
It doesn't matter if what elders teach kids is old, because what you are doing is you are lighting the spark. You're getting that kid turned on. And you get him turned on, then he'll learn all the new stuff. Mentors are just essential. I can not emphasize enough what my science teacher did for me.

...

I'm passionate about that the things I do are going to make the world a better place.

http://blog.ted.com/2009/11/wanted_translat.php

Wanted: Translators

The goal of TED's Open Translation Project is to bring ideas worth spreading to the wider world by offering TEDTalks with subtitles in as many languages as possible. Still, many of the world's languages aren't yet represented in the project, and we want to fill those gaps. Today, we're putting out a call to translators worldwide to help us...

pomocou dobrovolnickeho crowd-sourcingu sa budu moct odteraz prekladat prednasky z prepisanej anglictiny do inych jazykov..
zdielam nadsenie Chrisa Andersona:
- "So, we're announcing the biggest story at TED since we started putting our talks online... stand by"

podrobnosti tu: http://blog.ted.com/2009/05/ted_open_trans.php

(a casom o zorganizovanie TEDxSlovakia?)

video pre kazdeho koho fascinuju patterny v prirode..

seashellsphoto346346.jpg

vysvetluje to vo svojej knihe, a velmi strucne v tomto videu:

karen armstrong je genialna :)

doplnil by som, s cim sa najviac asociuje mne..
pokial si pamatam, jej wish bol zjednodit vsetky nabozenstva sveta.
chcela dat dokopy leadrov nabozenstiev, a vypracovat nejaku 'chartu', pravidla, ktore by odsuhlasili hlavni predstavitelia vsetkych nabozenstiev, ktore by boli spolocne, a tym padom by pomohli k porozumeniu si medzi nabozenstvami, zhode, a v konecnom dosledku spolocnym hodnotam a k menej konfliktom.

a nieco sa jej aj podarilo! :)

An amazing group of religious thinkers and leaders, the Council of Conscience, met outside of Geneva to finalize the Charter for Compassion. The group consists of individuals from the five major religions and almost every continent.

ok, nasiel som to:
“I wish that you would help with the creation, launch and propagation of a Charter for Compassion, crafted by a group of leading inspirational thinkers from the three Abrahamic traditions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam and based on the fundamental principles of universal justice and respect.”*
