Electrohype 2008 was the fifth biennial for computer based and
technological art. The exhibition gave an updated picture of the
scene for newly created electronic art by presenting 14 works by
10 international artists.

Black Stain is a spot located on the gallery wall with a constantly shifting consistency. The work consist of an electro magnet and a fluid magnetic liquid, ferrofluid.




Cold Stain collects humidity in the room by freezing it to a spot on the wall. The work consist of a refrigerator and a metal plate.

Evil/Live 2 is a light installation based on the classical algorithm Game of Life. Each light represents an individual in an extremely simplified model of how life can be self-organizing. The individuals are born, live or die according to simple rules governed by the surrounding neighbourhood.

SICB is a robot installation set up as a real-time performance. ALAN and CLARA are two robots trying to communicate their different views of the world. ALAN can only register motion and CLARA can only observe distance. The two displays show how they are trying to reach a common understanding from their different standpoints.
