"The animal heads I put on people in the Auteurs video I was going to do again in this one but I changed my mind. The original idea was to do a kind of a live action Tex Avery cartoon. I had these dog and cat people; a dog humanoid and a cat humanoid that were going mental around this house and trying to steal food out of the fridges and stuff. But I couldn't make it work. I just couldn't get the characters to look plausible. So I actually ended up changing the treatment about four days before the shoot and set it in a mental hospital. The Japanese subtitling was quite involved and quite difficult to do. I really want to go back and fiddle with this one if I can figure out a way of doing it...."
