Pre ludi ktorych laka organizovat si vlastne myslienky vo wiki-style, odporucam pozriet Obsidian (lokalny markdown system), Zettelkasten (metodika organizovania "atomickych" poznamok) a How to take smart notes (kniha ktora popisuje Zettelkasten a jeho vyhody). Zacal som si podla toho triedit nejake veci z knih co citam a lutujem, ze som nerobil skor. Prepojene poznamky su lepsie vstrebatelne a praktickejsie pri formovani novych originalnych myslienok.

I did a setup with single vault compatible with Dendron and Obsidian. Dendron is is where I take most of my notes. Dendron's design and thoughtful features makes it very frictionless to write and find information. Dendron saved me a good chunk of time gauging how far my studying is at during a practice exam today. I kept a window pinned in a corner, used [[ to note each question topic I covered, and marked confidence from # → ####. When I ended the exam, what I had was this, with topics that needed more attention being larger.

At a glance I can see which topics I needed to spend more time on, then I get to the topic notes to review with a click. This was created while taking the timed exam, and it serves review notes for the exam review as well as a launch page for tomorrow's studying. Some other amazing features of Dendron include previewing notes on mouse-over, extracting notes, and quick factoring hierarchies. Dendron's hierarchy based core philosophy is amazing for finding notes you're looking for. Dendron's tagging system is built on this philosophy as well, and the experience is like having database. I look notes on a conversation about drones I had with friends I work out with → im also able to find it when I pull up a list of friends who are into drones → im also able to find it when I pull up a list of technologies Id like to try someday → im able to note that convo into a future journal entry during a free weekend after I take my exam, so on that day that reminder shows up and I get a refresher about what Ive learned about drone flying. Another domain of strength of Dendron is being built on VSCode and having all the VSCode plugins, like the Markdown Sidebar that I write down topics and concepts during pre-reading, to I prime my mind on the topics during reading lecture (Cornell note method). Other ones I use daily are Markdown-Kanban for organizing priorities, Draw Note tablet pen drawing inside a note, and Todo Tree for finding and finishing all the Todos accumulated during a week.

Obsidian has a more functional graph view, for now. I open up the same vault in Obsidian to do reviews. I also like the Calendar plugin in Obsidian that allows finding daily journal notes from a calendar ⊞ UI, so Im using Obsidian for journaling sometimes, and made my obsidian and dendron configs compatible with each other.

I'm in Obsidian much of the time for the Outliner feature. Folding and hiding away depth and zooming in(also called drilling down) is a "must have" feature for me. notion pouzivam paralelne na veci ktore chcem zdielat s inymi ludmi alebo v ramci "firemnej wiki". tiez je pre mna prakticke pre niektore veci si tam len drag'n'dropovat obrazky a multimedia celkovo... ale je veru otrasne pomaly. skoda

asi zalezi od use-case. Jeden kamos tiez pouziva notion a je spokojny. iny kamos presiel od VS Code len cisto k Obsidianu.

aktualne svoj zettelkasten nezdielam, sluzi mi skor na pohodlnu pracu s mojimi znalostami. so zaciatku som si poznamky robil vo velmi "produkcnej kvalite" za vidinou, ze ich rovno budem sypat public. Ale nebolo to vonco. Slo to velmi pomaly, atomicitu poznamok som vymenil za linearitu pribehu a tym padom som malo kombinoval poznamky.
