som účastníkom školy HERCULES http://hercules-school.eu/. V polke marca nás ale vzhľadom na eskaláciu situácie rozpustili a kurz prebieha dištančne. Dneska ráno nám prišiel zaujímavý mail od od organizátorov školy, ktorý si dovolím tu zverejniť.

Napr. v prvom linku, jednou z aplikácií metód, ktorú explicitne spomínajú, je Neutron reflectometry can in fact provide detailed structural information on the interaction of small protein fragments, so-called peptides, that mimic the spike protein and that are believed to be responsible for binding with the receptor of the host cell.. No a (aj) tomu sa práve ja venujem v rámci nášho tímu. Rozdiel je v tom, že vo vzťahu k Alzheimerovej chorobe, nie ku Korone.



Dear participants to the Hercules course,

I would like to convey a positive message during these days when we have a dire need for rational approaches.

We should mention some efforts of the neutron and synchrotron radiation community regarding SARS-CoV-2 research.

This helps to remind us that we are doing research for a reason, not only to gather knowledge -though that is essential in a time when scientific facts have to fight against so-called ‘alternate' and 'fake’ 'truths'-, but also to solve real-world problems.
