The documentation aspect of any project is very important, as it can help people to both understand it and track changes. Unfortunately, many developers aren't very interested in documentation aspect, so it often gets neglected. Luckily, if you want to maintain proper documentation and stay organized, today, Google is releasing its internal developer documentation style guide. This can quite literally guide your documentation, giving you a great starting point and keeping things consistent.

Jed Hartman, Technical Writer, Google says, "For some years now, our technical writers at Google have used an internal-only editorial style guide for most of our developer documentation. In order to better support external contributors to our open source projects, such as Kubernetes, AMP, or Dart, and to allow for more consistency across developer documentation, we're now making that style guide public. If you contribute documentation to projects like those, you now have direct access to useful guidance about voice, tone, word choice, and other style considerations. It can be useful for general issues, like reminders to use second person, present tense, active voice, and the serial comma; it can also be great for checking very specific issues, like whether to write 'app' or 'application' when you want to be consistent with the Google Developers style."

Bolo leto 2016 a ja som prave nasadzoval databazovy cluster od Oracle (Oracle Real Application Cluster), snad sty.

Oracle RAC :: sikovna vec, Operatori ich maju radi, lebo Oracle im naslubuje vsetko od high availability az po consistent global cache (ORAC Cache Fusion Technology).
Sikovna, ale velmi prekerna na deployment. Od nuly po produkcny system to trva tyzden, treba na to certified Oracle DBA a ked sa tomu nieco stane,.. tma... a penale.

Automatizovat Oracle RAC instalacie uz skusal viac ci menej uspesne - kde, kto.
Problemov je s tym hned niekolko. Od mnozstva potrebnych ukonov, cez komplikovanost instalacie, network & storage dependencies az po nepoddajnost samotneho Oracle RAC.
Vela ludi skoncilo s kodom, tak dlhym a neflexibilnym, ze jeho maintenance pomaly zatienila vyhody automatickeho nasadenia. Najma, ak bolo treba nasadzovat 1-2 clustre za rok.

Lenze spolocnost, kde pracujem, patri medzi rapid growth companies a zacali sme tieto veci nasadzovat v desiatkach rocne.
Volba bola teda medzi prijatim aspon 5-6 novych DBAs, alebo to predsalen skusit zautomatizovat.

Time machine par mesiacov neskor posielam kolegovi co v zivote nevidel Oracle tri 5-minutove videa:
- co je to ansible
- ako vyzera tool co som nakodil
- ako ho pouzivat

Este v ten vecer nahodil svoj prvy databazovy cluster s orachk score 92.
Namiesto jedneho tyzdna, potrebujeme 1 hodinu a namiesto DBA, hocikoho s basic Linux skills.

ORAC automatizacia bola skvela prilezitost ako sa naucit Ansible do detailov.
Moze za to prave jeho komplikovanost a nepoddajnost.

S tym co som sa naucil sa s Vami v tomto fore rad podelim // a este radsej sa naucim nieco nove :)
