Manuel Vizcaino, president of the Andalusian side, confirmed his club would officially complain about the incident, which if precedent from earlier this season is followed, would see the Spanish giants eliminated.

Cheryshev picked up three bookings for Villarreal in last season's competition, which earned him a one-match ban carrying over to this year.
