Liverpool remove Mario Balotelli from Player of Year vote after hijack by Manchester United and Arsenal fans:



Gunners supporters agreed a Twitter pact with Red Devils fans last week to embarrass Liverpool by voting on mass for Balotelli to win the award, which is voted for on the Reds’ website.

Balotelli has widely been considered a flop since his £16million summer transfer to Anfield, and it would look pretty hilarious if the Italian was named their best player.

The campaign had gone viral, but amid reports that Balotelli was on course to win, Liverpool have now removed him from the possible candidates.
