Ever wonder why you never see a pit bull on the tv show “Animal Cops Houston?" It’s because they’re dead.

The same network broadcasts ‘Pit Bulls and Parolees’ and ‘Pit Boss,’ extremely popular programs about pit bull rescue. Certainly, Animal Planet must be aware of the dark practices on its long running show, ‘Animal Cops Houston.’

The Houston SPCA kills all dogs resembling a pit bulls. When American Pit Bull Examiner first heard of this practice, we couldn’t believe this huge endowed ‘society for the protection of animals’ with10 million dollars a year in donations would kill dogs in mass quantities.

Not only does Patti Mercer's Houston SPCA euthanize all pit bull breeds, but the group has its own television program! Houston SPCA is funded by giant corporations like Chevron who sponsors the yearly ‘fun run.’

Is the American Pit Bull Examiner the only one sees the emperor wearing no clothes? How can any group licensed by the government to ‘protect’ get away with murder on such a vast scale?

Today, local Houston rescuers are trying to save a dog by sundown. The Houston rescue community fights this battle every day, racing against time to save Houston stray dogs so they don’t wind up in the jaws of death at Houston SPCA.
