The 21-year-old was quick to deny any deal had been struck, however, tellingly he revealed he would be happy to finalise a move to North London. "I have not signed anything at Tottenham," Hazard told talkshow La Tribune on Belgian-based TV station RTBF. "Maybe I will play there next season. Hazard had previously stated his desire to move to England and he reiterated his dream to play in the Premier League, although he also admitted La Liga may be the better place for him.

"Perhaps Spanish football would be better for me, rather than the English. But if you want to be champion, you would need to play with Barcelona or Real Madrid.

"The opportunities would be much smaller. The competition would be strong at Tottenham too, but less so that at Barca or Real.

"I think I can learn the most in England. You play a big game every week and the atmosphere is great."
