Gervinho 'having Arsenal medical'



Lille's highly-rated striker Gervinho is reported to be having a medical at Arsenal ahead of his move to The Emirates. Reports have claimed the Ivory Coast international has agreed a four-year deal with the Gunners and he is completing the formalities of the move which is expected to be worth £10.6million.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is seeking to strengthen his squad following the club's failure to land a trophy last season and Gervinho will supply the forward line with more firepower. His arrival could spell the end of Nicklas Bendtner's Arsenal career as the Danish hitman has been linked with a summer switch to Sporting Lisbon after falling down the pecking order.
