PROPOSAL FOR 7th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art in 2012
Political statement:
I am defender of constitutional monarchy as a state organisation, I
would consider more affiliation towards political right, and would
rather define myself as conservative, but none of these (conservative,
rightist) would be appropriate definitions of my political stance.
I consider the the conservative triad family-nation-god as all too
arbitrary or abstract values, but indeed I would consider myslef conservative
when it came to defending certain core values, and not tradition,
“conservation” is static, but I hold that certain values like sincerity,
truthfulness, sacrifice, mercy are underestimated in politics. I value
much more chosen then inherited identities (thus my low esteem of national
identity). Much more then money, competition is the evil of many
things, so I do not essentially believe in the capitalist model. Yet
equality to me means only basic human rights to me, our difference in
intelectual, emotional, charitative capacities indeed have more effects
on our interaction, then any direct democratic system could force us to
believe.
If I have senitments for a long gone (at least in the central european
region) nobility, then it is not from historic reasons. I grant in my
mind the fictive aristocracy the great gift forgiving and mercy. More
then anything I miss this benevolence from all kinds of political elite.
In fact in all kinds of power interactions (be it inter-national, interinstitutional
or inter-personal)
