Ekelon - Evidence / Freeze Land
The Greek producer known as Ekelon may be best known for his contribution to Mary Anne-Hobbs' 'Evangeline' comp last year, and returns here with two tracks of darker breaks influenced dubstep. 'Evidence' uses menacing vocal samples over melodramatic synths and a turbulent steppers rhythm to cinematic effect, but we much prefer the metallic sound sphere of 'Freeze Land' on the flip. This cut tucks into a tight ball of post-garage momentum with cold blue metal synthlines and dub-techno atmospherics for all fans of F or Headhunter.
