Cosmin TRG - See Other People / Groove Control


Rush Hour's Direct Current series follows up the excellent Falty DL drop with two tracks from Cosmin TRG. Much like his recent Tempa doublepack, we find him in Funky compatible mode, dissecting and reassembling House and garage in a style not dissimilar to the Millie & Andrea project. On the A-side 'See Other People' is for the house swingers, building a tidy flex of UK and US garage functions from his unique perspective. Meanwhile, the limbre 2-step syncopations of 'Groove Control' on the flip may initially seem more for the garage fanciers, but soon cross into deepest Detroit styles reminding of Theo P. A must have for fans of Daphne recs.
