Hello,

This is Thor from ArtGrounds!

I am happy to announce that Sketcher 2.0 has been implemented on ArtGrounds. It seems to be reasonably stable now. It ran all night without crashing, so I think it's safe to use. Some people have reported lag. I'll look into solutions.

NEWS IN SKETCHER 2.0

- new, hot & shiny look and feel
- true Alpha channel transparency, dark/light color layers can now be freely overlaid
- 2 kinds of pressure sensitivity: pressure-to-strength (classic) and pressure-to-size (for sexy inking)
- new Hardness slider with 7 different levels (from blurry to crisp)
- Smudge tool replaced by Water tool (works like Smudge but adds color)
- Adjustable Jitter slider for fun pencil / crayon / spatter effects
- Noise slider to add grain
- Water slider to turn any tool into a watercolor tool
- New Strength slider which can turn ANY brush into an eraser
- All tools are now totally morphable, the button labels are merely suggestions now
- TAB key hides/shows chat area

Things you should expect soon:
- Save BUTTON (no more obscure text commands!)
- Save to Photoshop button (saves layers with full transparency)
- Possibility of saving brush settings to your account

In other words: OMFG!!!

NEWS ON ARTGROUNDS

- DONATE PAGE - please read my personal appeal to you all.
- working user profiles complete with neat rich text editors and needlepoint map geolocation
- submissions now be deleted

Things to expect real soon:
- editable user name and email
- submission edit page
- more tools for the admins (no more phpMyAdmin)

Things to expect later on:
- web radio
- forums

I think that is all I want to say for now. Enjoy ArtGrounds, and if you have a couple of dollars to spare, please donate them. The more you donate, the more time I can spend on ArtGrounds instead of my other job! Even a tiny donation counts! :-)

Regards,
Thor
