In the tradition of such renegade bands as John Zorn’s Naked City, Marc Ribot’s Ceramic Dog, Bill Laswell’s Last Exit, The Minutemen, The Nels Cline Singers , and Captain Beefheart’s Magic Band, Ahleuchatistas serves up shards of sonic shrapnel and white-hot free jazz abandon along with impressionistic textures, intricate unison lines, tightly-honed motifs and disciplined, shape-shifting arrangements, tempered by a penchant for thoughtful thematic development. There are elements of punk, jazz, speed metal, grindcore, prog rock, ambient music and explosive improv flowing organically in and out of the mix. With a devoted international cult following, Ahleuchatistas is widely considered one of the most innovative and evolving instrumental groups of the past decade.Recruiting drummer Ryan Oslance in 2008 took things to a whole new level and marked a new beginning for Ahleuchatistas. Oslance, an extremely versatile drummer with a command of many different styles of music, has allowed for a more intricate approach to composition and a deeper, more intense level of improvisation than was previously possible. This is evidenced on the 2009 release of “Of the Body Prone” (Tzadik), which was released to rave reviews from The New York Times, NPR, All Music Guide, and Pitchfork Media, to name a few. And now, with the addition of master bassist Joseph Burkett in 2009, the band is tighter and more agile than ever. An Ahleuchatistas live performance is something not to be missed!

ZABLOUDILA (CZ)
Zřídka vystupující skupina proměnlivého složení, názvu i zvuku, která si za 20 let existence vybudovala pověst jedné z nejsvobodomyslnějších experimentálních formací v Čechách – a díky množství zahraničních koncertů i v cizině…vždy fungovali stranou hlavního dění a šokovali nekompromisním přístupem k hudbě i hudebnímu provozu vůbec. Kapelou prošlo mnoho osobností olomouckého, respektive přerovského undergroundu, všichni se přitom podíleli na originálním zvuku, který se vždy pohyboval v širokém rozpětí mezi hardcorem, free jazzem, volnou improvizací a noisem. Na současných koncertech se setkává extrémní vokální kreace zpěvačky Fifi s kytarovým a dechařským šílenstvím z rodu Brötzmanových Last Exit či projektů Johna Zorna a s prvkem performance (použití těla, mikrofonní vazby, vizuální složka).
