wow guys, i just saw all this from reading about it on pitchfork and it kind of makes me sick. just want to say that literally hundreds and hundreds of professional producers and musicians putting out records that you have and love pirate their software. if you want to focus all that energy and hatred on someone please do it to someone else. if you ever met jona you would be bummed on yourself because he is an incredibly nice and good person that doesn't say things like "i wish you the darkest days of your being" to people he has never met. thats really crazy. i feel bad for people with so much negativity to be posting such horrible and nasty things about people they don't even know.

and lastly, you can say jona's music sucks all you want, but you should know that tons of people disagree and love his music including james murphy and dfa records who are putting out his music. this is a label that in many people's minds have had the highest level of taste and release consistency in the music industry for over a decade, typically setting the bar of quality for modern dance music. are labels like dfa knocking on any of your doors? i think not. ok, that's all.

when a young person starts making music on a computer and steals a bunch of shit, eventually he will get way into it and start buying a bunch of plugs in and software. they don't care what you think. i understand that the 'liberation' thing is horseshit. but.
you cranky old engineers and empty-studio-calender hacks will always bemoan the fact that people can do things themselves. AD will be making good money as long as every day hundreds of kids are making music on their computers. even if 1 out of 10 pay. it's growing exponentially. if plug-in and software developers are hurtin', why are there hundreds of new plug-ins every year? there will always be freeloaders. microsoft knows this. motu knows this. they are feeding their families .

real musicans who make music and actually tour and sell CDs already have given up on the idea of music piracy as theft. a band that sells 5,000 cds might have 20,000 listeners. it's very easy to monetize that fanbase simply by touring.

you should ask James Murphy if people buy his CDs. you guys are pranksters and i bet most of you are old and fat and make horrible music

I am sorry that the Google footprint of this site is roughly 1000 times that of your name alone, and thus this will be the first thing that comes up whenever anyone searches your name directly, but there's nothing I can do about that.
