zdravim,
instalujem photoshop CS3, spadlo.
Ked teraz znovu spustim instalator prebehne Adobe Setup okno a niekde nahadze nejake subory (priprava na instalaciu?) a dalej nic. Uviazne mi msiexec a nic sa nedeje.

restart nepomaha,
odstranil som aj adobe aplication data
odstranil som aj adobe common files ktore vytvoril ten instalator

1. Copy your CD into you C: drive. I created an “Adobe CS3″ folder in my C: drive. Thus making the absolute path of my installer C:\Adobe CS3

2. Run CS3 Clean Up if you previously installed Adobe CS3 and had errors. I used LEVEL 4. Run it for 2 times. If you still see C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat\Active X folder in the cmd prompt or when you check it in you C drive, just ignore it. It just wouldn’t get deleted and I dont know why.

3. Run a Registry Cleaner, I used CCleaner and ran it for 3 times just to be sure. Then BOOT your PC just to be sure that there are no traces of CS3.

then go to the 2nd message and scroll down to the part where you can see the codes on how to create an application.xml.overwrite file. Just that part.

5. Go to Adobe CS3 folder then to Payloads folder then open the “Setup XML file” (C:\Adobe CS3\payloads\setup.xml) look for this line “driver folder=”AdobeNAME OF INSTALLER” (You could clearly see it cause its only on the 3rd line).Take note of the name of the driver folder then put the “application.xml.overwrite” file inside it.

6. Go to Start -> Run ->

7. Type CD (which stands for change directory) PATH OF ADOBE INSTALLER then press enter. Example: C:\Adobe CS3 -> ENTER You would then go automatically to your installer folder.

8. (Your cmd should look like this)
C:\Adobe CS3\

9. Now type this
C:\Adobe CS3\setup.exe --random=1

then press enter. It will return 0 which means that everything is OK.

It would start the setup. You would see the registration screen and everything. When prompted which one to install just choose one. It would install right away. Then you would see that it created an “install.xml” and “remove.xml” file.

10. Go again to Start->Run->cmd now type his command
C:\Adobe CS3\setup.exe -–mode=Silent --deploymentFile=deployment\install.xml

This would now again start the setup with the registration screen. Now choose the softwares you wish to install. What I did was to first install Illustrator because I really need it and I only chose 1 so it would install faster. As usual it would first install the Shared Components then it would install Illustrator. I left it installing then when I got back it was installed! Whoopie!

A very Merry Christmas for me! I hope this steps could help you guys out. I felt what you’re feeling right now. I was on the verge of pulling off my hair and scream my lungs out because of several unsuccessful installs.

v add/remove uz bol zaznam photoshop-u ale po odstraneni *cs3* a *photoshop* z registru uz to tam nieje.

spustim setup a vypluje toto okno

po ktorom by sa mal spustit instalator. Vlastne ani ziadne subory neskopiruje a hned skape. Ostane visiet len msiexec.

Adobe podpora je posledne riesenie :)

skus sa pozriet do 'Add/remove programs', ci tam nieje akoby nainstalovany, skus odinstalovat.
Nic dalsie ma nenapada, iba ak pouzit taky tool na sledovanie systemu, ktory ti ukaze ake subory/registre sa otvaraju. Tym by si mohol odsledovat co robi ten instalator a pripadne najst to co mu vadi a zmazat to. Je to trochu zlozitejsie riesenie.
