CAN you spot the latest trend to hit the high street?

Yep, leopard print is back and it’s packing a designer punch.

Roberto Cavalli launches his first range for H&M on November 8 and it’s choc full of purrr-fect pieces in the sexy print.

The collection of party must-haves is like “a little red carpet for the young”, reckons Posh’s favourite designer.

And no pieces sum up this glam mission statement better than the bustiers and maxi-dresses in his signature print.

THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY

But just how is a girl supposed to work her animal magic? With extreme caution, says Sun associate fashion editor Toni Jones.

“I admit head-to-toe Cavalli animal print is not a good look. Neither is lycra leopard .... if the spots are starting to stretch it's too tight people.

“But one of the new H&M corsets worn with a pair of wide-leg trousers and killer heels will make you feel like a supermodel and give you the attitude to match.”

So will you be rushing to Hennes for your feline fix? Or dodging this risky look for subtler styles?

Because leopard print seems to work on a Marmite principle: you either love it or you hate it.

Read the cases for and against the leopard look below, check out our slideshow above and then tell us what YOU think.

Leopard print: miaow-sic to your ears or a cat-astrophic style you wouldn’t be caught dead in?

Is Leopard print for losers?

NO says TONI JONES

It's true, most of us don't look like the leggy models and rock chicks in the new Cavalli for H&M ads.

But that's no reason to let them have all the fun.

Exotic, glamorous and pure 'fashion', leopard print has been the trend of choice for the fash pack since the 1960s.

It's not easy to wear and is totally attention-grabbing ..... and that's why I love it.

No-one at a party will ever remember your good old LBD, but a slinky leopard print dress will be talked about for months afterwards.

Like any trend, there are good and bad ways to wear leopard so please don't let a few dodgily dressed euro-trashers cloud your fashion judgement.

Kylie, Kate Moss, Bette Lynch ... all strong, stylish women with more than a passing interest in the print.

If you like disappearing into the background then leopard print is not for you.

If you like having fun, looking like a rock chick and being the talk of the town then what are you waiting for.

YES says BELLA BATTLE

IF the outfits above leave you feline queasy, join the club.

Cheap and chavvy, leopard print is the worst abused trend in fashion’s hall of shame.

It’s just about OK if you’re 20, tanned and tiny, but this puke-inducing print is mostly worn by the women who shouldn’t.

Forget flirty models flashing bronzed flesh in St Tropez. The reality is a pasty Brit with bingo wings staggering down the high street after last orders.

It’s supposed to be wild, savage and sexy, but all its forced friskiness really screams is tarty.

From ‘dahn the market’ coats to Kids From Fame leggings, leopard makes any item a brash and brassy no-no.

And don’t get me started on the last-ditch desperation of leopard-clad women over 40.

Bless Roberto Cavalli for trying to bring his brand of Italian sex appeal to the masses.

But this is one animal passion that should be left in the jungle. And anyone who tells you different is lion.
