Resonance FM - LWSP underwater broadcast, April 2004 by Keith Mendonca This was one of Keith Mendonca’s first radio shows for "Resonance FM", London’s only free radio station, that has devoted itself to radio art. He broadcast the show from the River Thames! II. The HP Show (1976-1984): The HP Underwater Special by Hank Bull and Patrick Ready The second underwater-piece takes us more than twenty years back in history: *The HP Show“ was a live-program by the legendary radio artist Hank Bull and his partner Patrick Ready, broadcast weekly from 1976 until 1984 on the campus radio CFRO FM in Vancouver. Their most memorable show was “The HP Underwater Special: The World’s First Completely Underwater Radio Show”. The observations of scientists, as well as poetic comments, a.o. from Gertrude Moser-Wagner, Sabine Grupe or Peter Waugh, are embedded in a soundscape Ganglbauer made once when they were inspecting the site. |
