Kingdom of Piracy (KOP) embarks on an R&D project about the commons. Based on the recognition that the utopian notion of a (creative) commons could become an empty formula, operating on a false conviction of universality, we seek to highlight with our research the existence of different types of commons which are culturally and historically situated.
