n September 2004, IDW Publications began running a comic book version of "Metal Gear Solid" that is written by Kris Oprisko and illustrated by Ashley Wood. It is based off of the The Twin Snakes portion of the game. The comic mimics Yoji Shinkawa's gritty style using a palette of greys and rough, sketchy paintings as panels. This first arc is now available in two paperback volumes, each with 6 issues.
