there is a simple patch in framestein as example - you just follow mouse movements over a frame and put points everywhere you were .. perhaps this is also possible in GEM but with much more programming - i mean like everything there is an object so you would have to create a point object for every movement (maybe you can draw some curve, i check that at home)
in pidip i dunno but i think you are not linux based now :)
