LOST FREE SPACE is a project that is connected to the area surrounding
Zlate Piesky and trinast' kubikov. It traces things and events in an
industrial area that seems to be inhabitated only by companies, cars
and trucks. Every place ? no matter how deserted or populated it may be -
has a history and that leaves behind tracks pointing to current conditions
and situations. The project is searching for these traces of what happened,
what is happening and what will happen. It represents a research about
this area through recordings of noises and interviews with people
living, visiting and working in this place. LOST FREE SPACE is an open project ?
content and technologically wise ? collaboratively built, distributed
and displayed. Welcome to the vivid and soundful world of and around 13m3!

Wednesday 8 March we meet 12.00 noon at konventna 2 - ring the door
bell (you will see the nickname Huber-Hybal-VanBelle). We will talk about
ideas and how we can work on this project together. Later on we want to go to the 13m3 space with the (free) Tesco bus for some recordings of the
space, and the surroundings. So bring your audio/video gear!

This initial spontaneous re[cord]search action wants to generate some
material that can be used for an early presentation at the opening of
13m3 on 10th of March (yip - ai - that is soon!). But this is only the
beginning: we want to start up a continuing program over the coming
months. We can use the source material for several outputs during the
period of development: be it documentary, soundpiece, radiowork,
installation, etc... whatever you dream up.

We will plan further dates and initiatives as we go along and according
to your interests!

People who cannot be there but want to express interest please send an
email to barbara <barb@fro.at> or me <guy@waag.org> so we can keep you informed about future actions! Our phones are named:
421 910407727 (barbara)
421 911911064 (xgz)

hey hope to see you on Wednesday, and spread the message along to other interested parties...

thanks!
