Rainbow - Pilgrimage Retreat – Walkabout in

M O N G O L I A
Middle of June to August/September 2006
(We meet: 12.6.06 in Terelj - National Park near Ulan Baatar)

Mongolia is a huge country - and as diverse as a country can be. There is the Gobi desert, vast forest lands and outstretched grasslands.

- Which regions do we want to explore?
- Are we interested in cultural sites, in religious places, in untouched natural resorts?
- Do we want to see Mongolia from horseback or walking or ...?
- Do we want to sleep in a yurt (ger), tents or under the open sky?

All these questions we leave for the walkers to answer.


PLANS:
We meet in or near Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia’s capital. From Europe it is possibleto get there from Moscow with the Trans-Mongolian-train. The plan is to stay some days together in a yurt, to grow as a group, to find answers for all the questions and to get the equipment we need.

We will be in Mongolia for at least two month and if we like longer. For people who can not come from the beginning, there will be the possibility to join the group after about one month in the middle of July.

Traditional RAINBOW-RETREAT-conditions:
It will be a retreat-walkabout, so we like to stay free from tobacco, marijuana, sugar, black& green tea, coffee, alcohol and any other drugs.

How we deal with the retreat-conditions, if we invited by local people we will decide in Mongolia.

At the meeting at new-year we reached CONSENSUS in:
- The pilgrimage starts in the middle of June and goes at least until the middle of August.
- It is a retreat-walkabout.
- How we deal with the retreat-conditions, if we are invited by local people we will decide in Mongolia.
- We will make it possible for vegetarians to stay vegetarians.
- If possible, we like to stay on the pilgrimage in a yurt.
