Keep Faith in da Free Party !


For the 8 years since Free parties have existed in europe, our lives have changed dramatically. But shadows appears on the horison (rubbish, violence, repression, bad attitude, weariness, lack of respect..). There are still lots of good parties and much positive energy. The greatest force of the free movement is to be open to everyone and we must keep it like this !!! We will never achieve anything by passing the blame for all of the above on to others we must be an example by respecting ourselves others and above all the nature.

By having chill-out at each party, varying music styles (house, drum'n'bass, speedcore, indus...) Creating a record production & distribution no-benefit network for a real alternative to the commercial system. Give bin bags at the start of each party ! Collect money to hire bin lorries on big events. Start a system of bottle-and tin can return each bar offereing an incentive like a free beer or soft drink for a carrier bag of bottles or cans returned to the bar, charge 1or 2 francs extra retutnable on return of bottle or can...), clean frequently the place, it'll be better than doing all at the end of the party. Organising small legal benefit parties with your local association and friends to help make extra money to pay for bin lorries and skips to be on site the first day of the teknival. Buying fiscal stamps this prevents police to attack you in court when they discover that you sell beverages. It only costs 200 FF and then you have 2 weeks to declare it properly according to benefits (but nobody will...). SACEM, the only way to pay nothing to these thugs is to prepare a sheet where you declare only white labels. Take pictures and films to witness violence from the police (video-activism). Squatting military camp is clever for two reasons : police cannot enter the place, and the army doesn't have the right to arrest civilians. Enjoy partying in foreign countries, the mood is different and much more positive.

USE INTERNET to find information on your rights, lawyers contacts, tips on organisation without legal problems, tips about living on the road, communicate with each others inside the movement, and give alert instantly to the whole movement if you're attacked in court.

Free Style for Music, Art & People !!!

Members of sound systems are taken as roll models by young newcomers. Our attitude determins a party's mood. Be cool and people will be so. Make a chill-out space and offer water to those who feel bad. REMEMBER violence leads to violence ! We should not react like the system with its police !!! Dont forget that many of us were former thugs before they discoved free party's ! When somebody is really agressive, try firmly to isolate him from people and in most cases, he will calm down automatically. Stop hungry agressive dogs ! Never agress police when it comes to negociate, otherwise you get maximum troubles : massive strike and people wounded, rig destroyed, people arrested and charged in court.
