designer's own words:
My idea of creating these candle-holders was to use the disposed bottles as a material to create a design with new aesthetic form and function. These candle-holders are made of simple empty glass bottles. The bottom of a bottle is cut away and heated in a furnace at the temperature of 800 degrees Centigrade. As the glass reaches a certain temperature it starts to melt and thus shuts down the inner cavity with its own weight. The inner-air expands and automatically blows each candle-holder. The process cannot be controlled absolutely, therefore, each separate candle-holder varies. Bottles of different colour and parameter can be used for production.
