The classic pop icon was designed by Aarnio in 1963 with production beginning in 1966. It is truly difficult to describe what it is like to sit inside this modern pod -- you are completely enveloped in your own spherical "cocoon." With its fully upholstered interior, the Ball Chair is incredibly comfortable and a wonderful space in which to curl up and take a quick nap. The exterior muffles approximately 75% of the noise and visual stimuli allowing you to simply "chill-out". Included in many museum collections around the world, this piece is one of the most significant and memorable pieces of design from the mid 1960s.
